Graduate Registered Nurse, Med/Surg, $8K Sign-on Bonus

North Mississippi Health Services is hiring a Graduate Registered Nurse for Med/Surg with an $8K sign-on bonus.

Position requires applying nursing skills using the nursing process to provide safe, quality patient care and appropriate documentation. Responsibilities include coordinating with the multidisciplinary team and supporting patient/family education.

• Uses the nursing process to provide safe, quality patient care and document accordingly.
• Works to ensure compliance with NMHS policies and requirements as directed by the Nurse Manager and Educator.
• Provides patient/family education and acts as a resource for existing staff and new employees.
• Maintains communication with multidisciplinary team members to provide holistic care to the patient.
• Attends daily huddles on each unit to ensure proper assignments and identify team members for the shift.

• Licensed by the Board of Nursing for the state; must be licensed to practice as an RN in the state of MS.
• Must complete RN orientation and approved unit-specific checklist.
• Must maintain a current AHA CPR Certification.
• Must comply with department requirements for continuing education and any specific unit requirements to provide appropriate age-specific care.
• Please note ER requirements: current ALS, PLS, TNCC, NIHSS and ASLS.
• Must have effective communication and teaching skills; general knowledge of regulatory and accrediting standards.

• Education:
  
  RN license required; stay informed of changing trends in nursing practice.

• Must be licensed to practice as a RN in the state of MS.
• Must complete RN orientation and approved unit-specific checklist.
• Must maintain a current AHA CPR Certification.
• Must maintain department requirements for continuing education and any unit-specific requirements.
