Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week
Responsible for safe and effective rocket engine test and assembly of the RS-25 engine. This position works in concert with related disciplines, contractors, and customers to ensure the successful testing of L3
Harris products.
- Supports the assembly, test, and verification of rocket engine components.
- Conducts leak checks, inspections, and other engine related tasks.
- Creates and maintains check sheets for work performed by technicians.
- Works with Quality, Engineering, and Safety organizations to achieve common goals.
- Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
- Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
- Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects.
- Works under general supervision.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strength in teaming and collaboration.
- Experience working in a testing environment.
