Under the direction of the shift supervisor and/or the shift team leader, the Driver will be responsible for operating a box truck, flatbed truck, van with enclosed trailer or stand alone van for loading and delivery of products to/from the plant to the warehouse in a manner consistent with all safety, quality, and operational work instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for safely operating the vehicle on each trip. Must follow all applicable laws and company policy.
Responsible for accounting for records involving vehicle maintenance and upkeep of vehicles.
Must function and interact on a daily basis with warehouse supervisors and comply with warehouse safety requirements.
Must communicate using cellular telephone with operations, and warehouse personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
Must maneuver trucks into loading and unloading position, following signal from loading crew as needed. Also place safety wheel chocks in front of wheel/tire to prevent truck movement. Some areas require backing of equipment into buildings/loading docks where applicable.
Follow all company policies, guidelines, and quality procedures.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment.
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and yard

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation and/or Experience
Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must have utility trailer experience.
Must have a clean driving record.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional DesignationsSatisfactory completion of Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for tractor trailer operation is a plus but not required for this position.
OtherMust be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.
