As a Commercial Vehicle Trailer Technician at Paul Logistics, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our commercial fleet meets safety and compliance standards. From inspecting brakes and tires to verifying & documenting findings, your work is critical in keeping our operations safe and on the road.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections on commercial vehicles, including brakes, tires, lights, steering, and suspension
• Verify DOT compliance
• Check for proper cargo securement and compliance with safety standards
• Operate vehicle scales to detect overweight loads
• Document inspection results clearly and accurately using internal systems
• Maintain inspection lane equipment and report maintenance needs
• Notify Shop Foreman of safety violations or out‑of‑service conditions
• Provide courteous, clear communication to drivers regarding inspection results
• Respond to public inquiries regarding commercial vehicle regulations as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in transportation, inspection, or DOT compliance preferred
• Strong understanding of commercial vehicle components and federal safety regulations
• Detail-oriented and able to complete accurate documentation
• Professional, safety‑conscious, and dependable
• Able to work outdoors and in varying conditions
