SS-Senior Swim Instructor

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Senior Instructor plays a key role in maintaining a safe, engaging, and exceptional experience for students, parents, and staff. • Provide initial training for new staff and ongoing training for all team members to enhance skills and stay current with standards
• Supervise instructors and lifeguards to ensure high-quality lessons and adherence to safety and brand standards
• Coach and mentor instructors both in and out of the water
• Assist instructors in the water with curriculum-related challenges
• Conduct quarterly in-services to ensure continued education
• Provide constructive feedback through evaluations or real-time coaching
• Collaborate with the management team to identify training needs

• Ensure the safety of all customers and report unsafe activities, equipment, or instruction to management
• Provide immediate feedback to instructors if safety requirements are not being followed (e.g., safety distances, holds, turning backs, etc.)

• Deliver a world-class experience by addressing customer inquiries, ensuring lesson quality, and supporting swimmer progress
• Assist instructors with communicating swimmer progress to parents

• Full-time
• Weekdays, weeknights, and weekends required
• 30+ hours per week (seasonality may impact hours)

• Minimum of 6 months teaching swim lessons at Safe Splash Swim School
• Supervisory or team leadership experience in aquatics, education, or a related field preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while taking initiative
• Comfortable working around water and interacting with children and parents
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 90 days of hire (provided)
• Lifeguard certification preferred
• Prior swimming instruction experience required
