My client is seeking an exceptional Principal Developer to join their team as a technical authority and individual contributor. • Define technical vision and architecture for major application initiatives aligned with business goals
• Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and frameworks for strategic adoption
• Establish engineering standards and best practices that improve quality and delivery velocity
• Identify technical debt and systemic risks with clear remediation strategies

• Design and implement mission‑critical web applications that form the foundation of the technology stack
• Architect solutions balancing performance, scalability, security, and maintainability
• Build reference implementations and frameworks that accelerate development
• Solve the most technically challenging problems that get escalated
• Drive performance optimization initiatives through systematic analysis

• Mentor senior and mid‑level developers through design reviews and collaborative problem‑solving
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews focused on architecture, security, and long‑term maintainability
• Create technical documentation capturing architectural decisions and implementation patterns
• Present technical recommendations to executive leadership with business context
• Champion engineering excellence through example and demonstration of best practices

• Translate ambiguous business requirements into concrete technical specifications
• Provide technical feasibility assessments and effort estimates for strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with product leadership to shape roadmap priorities
• Partner with operations and security teams to ensure production standards and compliance
• Serve as technical liaison for vendor evaluations and third‑party integrations

• 10+ years of professional software development experience with full‑stack expertise
• Deep proficiency in multiple back‑end languages and frameworks
• Advanced front‑end architecture knowledge including state management and performance optimization
• Expert‑level database design and optimization (relational and non‑relational systems)
• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Substantial experience designing and implementing APIs at scale

• Proven track record designing systems handling millions of users or substantial transaction volumes
• Experience with applications requiring strict uptime, performance, or compliance requirements
• Deep understanding of system observability, monitoring, and production debugging
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and fault‑tolerant system design
• Expertise in security architecture, threat modeling, and secure coding practices

• Expert knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure as code
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline design and automated testing strategies
• Familiarity with data engineering, ETL processes, and analytics infrastructure
• Knowledge of authentication systems and authorization frameworks at enterprise scale
