Advocate

The Spring is hiring for part time Advocate Support for Saturday‑Sunday day from 7a‑3pm.

The Spring is a faith-based service provider committed to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. Through safe shelter and compassionate advocacy, we help survivors and their families build a life free from abuse.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Shelter Support Advocate to join our weekend team. This role involves supporting shelter operations, answering crisis and business calls, monitoring facility traffic, and assisting guests with daily needs. You'll be a vital part of a team working to create a safe and healing environment for survivors and their children.

• Respond to calls on crisis and business lines
• Interview prospective guests by phone or in person
• Monitor shelter entry/exit of guests and visitors
• Assist with administrative documentation and guest charting
• Support guest needs and help respond to emergencies
• Help prepare meals and transport guests as needed
• Assist with children's activities and family support
• Attend relevant training on domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Oklahoma driver's license
• Willingness to sign and uphold The Spring's Statement of Faith

• Strong multi‑tasking and organizational skills
• Compassionate, with a commitment to professional boundaries
• Confidentiality and ethical integrity in handling sensitive information
• Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, calm under pressure, and attentive to detail
