Job Description
As an HVAC Journeyman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of HVAC service and installations, ensuring exceptional quality and customer satisfaction. You will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential clients, diagnosing and resolving electronic, mechanical, and electrical issues. Your leadership and organizational skills will be essential in guiding others to complete jobs efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers.
- Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
- Travel to job sites in the service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedules and communicate delays to customers.
- Be available to work nights or weekends on a rotating basis for emergency services.
- Maintain the company vehicle in good working order, including refueling and reporting mechanical issues.
- Ensure proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment are maintained in the vehicle.
- Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices at job sites.
- Obtain customer signatures upon job completion and document all installed equipment details.
- Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate systems according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Train and develop helpers, manage daily activities, and conduct performance reviews with the assistance of Human Resources.
- Ensure all safety rules are followed on the job, monitor field staff for compliance, and complete safety training.
- Prepare and compile necessary reports, including incident reports and service work orders.
- Maintain accurate time records and complete administrative work as needed.
- Ensure job sites are left clean and orderly, and the quality of work meets the highest standards.
- Participate in company training and continuing education opportunities.
- Proficient in HVAC service, troubleshooting, and installation.
- Possession of an EPA License.
- Strong communication skills with supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
- Active listening skills, attention to detail, and customer‑focused service.
- Knowledge of construction, air conditioning, duct work, and mechanical repairs.

Work EnvironmentDuties are performed in variable job sites, including residential homes, commercial sites, and schools. The work environment can be loud, with exposure to moving mechanical parts, inclement weather, heat, humidity, dust, and asphalt. Safety gear is required on‑site per management's discretion. This is a full‑time position with hours from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional Saturdays and variable start and end times.
Overtime and weekend work are expected, and the position frequently requires long hours.
This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
