Electrical Journeyperson
Salary Grade:Hourly 18 | H-18
Tulsa Public Schools’ existing salary schedules provide career‑increment adjustments based on education/experience and/or years of creditable service. Position Summary:The electrical journeyperson is expected to perform a variety of duties including completing all assigned work orders in a timely manner, reporting labor, cost and any pertinent notes/information regarding all assigned work orders, and returning to the foreperson daily. Must be conscientious, have experience in all areas of job responsibilities, and exhibit good workmanship.
Minimum Qualifications:Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience:
- One (1) year of experience or general knowledge of the electric trade or willingness to learn
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, Etc.:
- Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a current and valid Oklahoma driver’s license with no restrictions that would preclude driving on the job
- Possess or ability to obtain and maintain a current and valid State Electrician Craftsperson card
- Ability to learn or perform routine preventative maintenance on all electric equipment is a plus
- Knowledgeable of current city codes is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Office Suite or willing to learn
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Ability to occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. assisted
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolds
