Scaffold Builder

This person will supervise the construction, assembly, maintenance, and dismantling of tubular scaffolding or other temporary structures. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

• Work at heights with no fear.
• Determine type of scaffold needed and properly instruct on its installation.
• Oversee transport of tubular scaffold or other structural material and erect the scaffold as instructed.
• Hoist scaffolding materials upward to erect temporary structure.
• Properly secure and level locking sections of scaffolding material.
• Secure the scaffold to the permanent structure for added stability.
• Adhere to all OSHA, site‑specific, and Austin Industrial requirements for erecting and navigating the scaffolding.
• Supervise the dismantling of scaffolding when it has been properly communicated to do so.
• Inspect and properly stow scaffolding material after dismantling.
• Perform final inspection of completed scaffolding.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required For This Position

• Education – No minimum education requirements.
• Experience – 3–5 years of Journeyman level experience.

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
