We are hiring a Diesel Mechanic at CARDS Recycling to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment.

AM Shift 4am-1pm
PM Shift 11am-8pm

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly.
• Conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuild fleet equipment components correctly.
• Inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions and unsafe work practices, and suggest corrective actions.
• Identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies needed for performing repairs on fleet equipment and take steps to solve issue if possible.
• Correctly complete complex work orders with proper description of condition, cause and correction, including properly completing a warranty return tag as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Valid state issued CDL driver's license.
• Experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair or a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with specialty in Diesel.
• Experience in advanced diagnostics.
• Weekly pay preferred.
• Sign on bonus offered.
