Summary
Travels throughout the territory, representing, selling, and servicing Fabricut, Stroheim, Vervain, Clarence House, S. Harris and Trend accounts; increasing both territory volume and profitability by developing strong relationships with customers and by following the sales program set by the sales manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Represents and manages Fabricut, Stroheim, Vervain, S.Harris and Trend in a professional manner and appearance.
- Visit each account on a consistent basis.
- Build market share by generating business through established accounts and prospecting for new accounts.
- Build cut order sales to increase profit.
- Consistently make required number of sales calls, meeting or exceeding all sales quotas.
- Compile data for required daily reports.
- Provide proper sampling to customers through advanced sample book management techniques.
- Evaluate customers and their needs through effective use of printouts and other sales tools, matching product to customers’ needs.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with current and potential customers.
- Advise customer as to kind and quantity of fabric.
- Discuss features and qualities of fabric such as weave, texture, color and washability.
- Suggest harmonizing or matching colors of fabrics.
- Prepare sales slips.
- Prepare and implement all aspects of a sales call.
- Have knowledge of product, pricing, availability of fabric, and back‑order substitutions.
- Update sample books on a regular basis.
- Sell new programs, piece goods, and Fabricut Advantages.
- Respond to customer’s questions and problems on a timely basis and offer solutions as quickly as possible, mediating and resolving challenges fairly.
- Interface with other departments to provide good service.
- Display good safety and housekeeping practices.
- Use material and equipment effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent selling skills.
- Ability to learn product lines.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Superb interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Must be able to travel overnight for most sales territories.
- Excellent driving record.
- Ability to read maps and follow directions.

- Driving automotive equipment – 2–4 hours
