About the Role

As an Account Executive at Volt
, you will be responsible for helping define, execute, and scale our go-to-market strategy. This is a unique opportunity to join Volt as part of our founding GTM team, where you'll have meaningful autonomy, direct access to leadership, and the ability to leave a lasting mark on how we sell, support, and grow.

You will own the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through close and successful go-live working closely with prospects, customers, and internal teams to ensure value is delivered from day one. This role requires a high level of ownership and comfort operating in an early-stage environment, where processes are evolving, and your input directly shapes how we work.

You'll partner closely with Account Management, Product, Engineering, and Operations to support implementation, ensure smooth onboarding, and identify early expansion opportunities once customers are live. While this role is not responsible for long-term account management, strong collaboration and thoughtful handoff are critical to customer success.

The ideal candidate is a technically curious, solutions-oriented seller who thrives with autonomy, takes pride in building from the ground up, and is excited to help define what great looks like as Volt scales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation, close, and successful go-live
  • Drive net-new revenue growth by identifying, targeting, and closing new business opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with founders, technical leaders, and business decision-makers at SaaS and technology-enabled companies
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases, technical requirements, and messaging infrastructure needs
  • Conduct tailored product demonstrations and presentations aligned to customer goals and technical environments
  • Explain complex messaging infrastructure concepts, including multi-provider routing, throttling, compliance, and delivery optimization, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers from initial engagement through implementation and go-live
  • Lead internal handoff and kickoff processes, aligning Product, Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders on customer goals, timelines, and success criteria
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure smooth onboarding, implementation, and delivery through go-live
  • Proactively identify and manage risks that could impact implementation timelines or customer success
  • Set and manage clear customer expectations throughout the sales and implementation process
  • Maintain and grow a healthy, accurate sales pipeline using Hubspot
  • Forecast revenue accurately with an understanding of deal velocity, implementation timelines, and go-live dependencies
  • Negotiate commercial terms and structure complex deals to meet customer and company objectives
  • Support early expansion conversations once value is demonstrated post go-live
  • Stay informed on industry trends, including messaging, APIs, SMS compliance (10

    DLC, TFN, short codes), and the competitive landscape
  • Represent Volt professionally at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings
Requirements
  • CPaas knowledge and experience a must.
