Shortage Control Lead - Full-Time

Join Burlington Stores, Inc. as a Shortage Control Lead and play a key role in mitigating theft and fraud in high shortage areas while promoting a safe and secure store environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide an effective deterrent to dishonest behaviors throughout the store by demonstrating a strong command presence through role‑modeling, appropriate dress code, positive demeanor and energetic greeting.
• Maintain a safe and secure store for customers and associates with strong attention to detail, ability to multi‑task, strong communication and partnership with store leadership.
• Enthusiastically engage with every customer and associate in high‑risk areas, promoting a strong impression of control and best‑in‑class customer service.
• Display a strong working knowledge of top shortage areas and support programs designed to identify and reduce theft.
• Gather and document indicators of external theft, share them with store and field leaders, and network with local law enforcement as directed to support evidence gathering.
• Support store manager by providing internal controls and operational oversight, including monitoring associates, performing store audits and promoting Asset Protection programs.
• Provide leadership with onboarding and ongoing training support for associate shortage reduction programs.
• Assist store leadership in semi‑annual inventory preparation and execution, developing action plans to reduce shortage.
• Model safety‑first behaviors and address unsafe practices promptly.
• Demonstrate discipline in managing stressful situations and addressing unsafe practices at every opportunity.

Benefits and Compensation:

Competitive wage of $13.50 per hour
. Full‑time associates may be eligible for up to 12 days of paid time off annually, up to 8 paid holidays, paid sick time as required by law and a 401(k) plan. Associates also receive medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance and an associate discount.
