Job Description

General Summary: A Host is responsible for directing guest traffic, managing payment transactions, and ensuring the security of the cash drawer. The role reports to the General Manager and requires minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests, using the seating chart and wait list effectively.

Be knowledgeable about Rib Crib products, including preparation methods, portion sizes, and prices; able to discuss menu items with customers in person or over the phone.

Answer phone calls, determine their purpose, and direct them appropriately. Take catering orders and answer related questions.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier stand and restrooms.

Stock the to-go station and package to-go orders.

Record and analyze cash flow, including opening, operating, and closing duties.

Show willingness to perform any task or responsibility as needed to support teamwork and restaurant operations.
