Based in the beautiful Hawke's Bay region, Craggy Range Restaurant is a true reflection of our place, celebrating fresh, seasonal produce grown in our own garden and sourced from a close-knit network of local producers. We’re looking for a Sous Chef to join a team that takes pride in pushing standards and creating food we’re genuinely proud to put on the plate. This is a hands‑on kitchen where everyone runs their own section, backs each other up, and gets stuck into all aspects of service.

In this role, you’ll help maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation, contribute to a positive and motivated team environment, and support the training and development of junior chefs. You’ll take responsibility for food safety, stock control, and maintaining excellent personal and kitchen hygiene, while continuing to build your technical skills and food knowledge.

Craggy Range is open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, allowing for a flexible roster and a healthy work‑life balance.

To be considered, you must have the legal right to work in New Zealand, hold the equivalent of NZQA Level 4 Cookery, and have at least two years’ experience in a comparable establishment.
