ZEVAC is a product and technology company, an industry pioneer in gas and liquid recovery technology, and a recognized leader in methane mitigation applications. The reliability of our proven, patented equipment makes us the most trusted product provider for the operators who fuel our world and the service contractors who support them.

The Quality Engineer & Inspector plays a key, hands-on role in ensuring ZEVAC’s products, processes, and suppliers meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. This role combines ownership of quality systems (QMS, audits, CAPA, supplier quality) with daily inspection of incoming materials, in‑process components, and finished goods. The ideal candidate is analytical and detail‑oriented, comfortable on the manufacturing floor and in documentation systems, and committed to continuous improvement and data‑driven decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities Quality Engineering & Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality control procedures and inspection protocols for incoming, in‑process, and finished goods.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for internal, supplier, and field‑reported issues; verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS); support audits, compliance reviews, and documentation for industry and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API, ASME).
  • Monitor quality metrics (scrap, rework, defects, supplier quality) and report trends to drive data‑informed decision‑making.
  • Review and approve engineering changes from a quality and compliance perspective; ensure proper configuration control and documentation.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments, support vendor qualification, and collaborate with Supply Chain on incoming quality and nonconformance management.
  • Train team members on quality standards, procedures, GD&T, inspection methods, and best practices; promote a culture of quality and accountability across the organization.
Inspection & Testing
  • Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, components, and finished products by using precision tools and visual checks to support incoming, in‑process, and final product quality assessments.
  • Verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements; document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Identify, document, and disposition non‑conformances; assist in root cause investigations and support containment and corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper calibration, care, and use of inspection equipment, coordinate calibration schedules, and records.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Field Service teams to resolve quality issues and improve product consistency and reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Six Sigma) to reduce variation, improve process capability, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across functions; provide timely updates on quality status, risks, and mitigations.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline preferred; candidates with a strong technical background and relevant experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality inspection, or a related manufacturing role (combination of hands‑on inspection and QMS responsibilities is ideal).
  • Six Sigma certification or demonstrated RCCA experience preferred.
  • ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, or similar) preferred; training in quality systems, inspection methods, or relevant industry standards is beneficial.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on quality assurance, process improvement, and data integrity.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and techniques; knowledge of GD&T and statistical quality methods.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API, ASME); experience with audits and regulatory compliance.
