Southern Hills Health and Rehab is searching for motivated, compassionate individuals to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to provide residents with routine daily nursing care delivered in a compassionate attitude and in accordance with our established nursing care procedures and philosophies as directed by your supervisors. As a Clinical Manager of Nursing‑RN, you will be a nursing leader who manages nursing care and ensures the safety of residents to maximize quality of life.
Responsibilitiesand Purpose
- Maintain appropriate nursing service obligations, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Oversee, direct, and coordinate nursing staff to provide proper resident care consistent with standard nursing practices.
- Participate in screening prospective residents as well as ongoing assessment of resident needs.
- Ensure staff adherence to infection control procedures, quality assurance programs, and OSHA procedures.
- Conduct employee conferences, counseling, and evaluations; participate in hiring new nursing employees and orientation.
- Assist in ongoing in‑service education of nursing staff.
- Maintain adequate staffing and adhere to the nursing budget.
- Assume responsibility for decisions regarding all aspects of nursing care, consulting with the Director of Nursing, Administrator, and other resources.
- Ensure provision of appropriate medications, treatments, and nursing services according to care plans and physician’s instructions.
- Monitor and control inventories of drugs and supplies.
- Notify the Director of Nursing, physician, and family or responsible party in the event of a significant change in a resident’s condition.
- Formulate plan of care based on a resident assessment and complete resident care attendant assignments based on resident needs.
- Attend all department head meetings, staff meetings, and serve on appropriate committees as determined by the Director of Nursing or Administrator.
- Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Must have a current BLS CPR card.
- One (1) or more years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or Long Term Care environment preferred.
