Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring at least 1-2 years of recent L&D experience and fetal monitoring proficiency.

Job Details

• Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting,

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45-07:15),

• Every other weekend coverage required,

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-1:2,

• Performs fetal monitoring (basic and intermediate), medication titrations (oxytocin/magnesium), cervical dilation checks, labor management, C-section RN circulator duties, and PACU recovery of C-section patients,

• Peripheral line care/management and isolation precaution/PPE protocols in use,

• Epic EMR used for computerized documentation; experience preferred,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required,

• Current certifications: BLS and NRP,

• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required,

• Basic and intermediate fetal monitoring skills required,

• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler,

• No more than 3 days of RTO will be approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation,

• Travel pairs or groups will not be considered,

• Previous travel experience preferred; first-time traveler eligibility - check with your recruiter
