Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift | Travel Nurse | Tulsa, OK

Labor & Delivery RN travel opportunity in Tulsa, OK — Night shift, 13-week assignment (Mar 23–Jun 22, 2026). Active RN license and BLS/NRP/ACLS/AWHONN required. Join a collaborative perinatal nursing team and care for mothers and newborns in a modern Labor & Delivery unit.

  • Location: Tulsa, OK 74104 — Travel nursing job in Tulsa, Oklahoma; enjoy a vibrant city along the Arkansas River with a welcoming community and diverse culture.
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (March 23, 2026 – June 22, 2026)
  • Shift: Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (18:45 – 07:15)
  • Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours available)
  • Unit: Labor & Delivery — 15-bed unit (L&D, perinatal nursing, obstetric nurse role)
  • Scrubs: Provided
  • Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800-$1900
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience; perinatal nursing experience preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred (travel nurse/L&D travel assignments)
  • Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate
  • Experience with basic and intermediate fetal monitoring (EFM, internal monitoring)
  • Ability to float to similar units as needed (mother-baby/Postpartum)
  • Must be available to work every other weekend
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at time of application
  • Local candidates within 75 miles not accepted
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit
  • Perform and interpret fetal monitoring (electronic fetal monitoring, internal monitoring) and communicate findings to the team
  • Assist with high-risk deliveries, vaginal births, and Cesarean sections (C-sections)
  • Monitor and manage obstetric emergencies (pre-eclampsia, hemorrhage, HELLP syndrome) with timely interventions
  • Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, antihypertensives, and Pitocin
  • Conduct obstetrical triage, perform sterile vaginal exams, and provide perinatal assessments
  • Support breastfeeding, lactation needs, and patient education for postpartum/newborn care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and IV teams
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner following facility policies
  • Maintain a safe, baby-friendly, and supportive environment focused on patient-centered care
