Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Nights)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 4x12 hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15), with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend coverage required.

Job Description

The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in labor and delivery. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of recent experience in a labor and delivery setting and possess basic to intermediate fetal monitoring skills. Previous travel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor fetal heart rates and provide assessments during labor.
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and assist with high-risk deliveries.
• Administer medications, including Epidural Anesthesia and Pitocin.
• Maintain IVs and central lines, and monitor infusions.
• Support and educate patients on breastfeeding and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• ACLS and AWHONN Intermediate certifications are preferred.
• Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
