Labor and Delivery Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12-hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15) with options for either 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team for night shifts. This role requires a strong background in maternal and fetal care, with the ability to manage high-risk deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Perform prenatal assessments and monitor fetal heart patterns.
• Manage labor and delivery of patients, including vaginal births and C-sections.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate in the electronic charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1-2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
• Basic and intermediate fetal monitoring skills.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Preferred:
  Previous travel nursing experience.
• Valid Oklahoma or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
