Position Title: Infusion LPN PRN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Stephenson Cancer Center at Hillcrest - Tulsa
Department: Hillcrest Infusion Center
Job Profile SummaryUnder general supervision, provides preventative and health care to an assigned group of patients or clients in the OU Health facility.

- Assists with nursing assessment through data collection, observation, and obtainment of vital signs on assigned patients or clients.
- Provides care according to an established nursing plan.
- Observes changes in inpatient's condition and notifies supervisory personnel if significant changes occur.
- Provides routine ostomy care, nasogastric tube placement and feeding and placement, and discontinuing of oral-gastric tube. Initiates and monitors oxygen therapy according to physician orders or unit protocol.
- Suctions and cleans tracheotomy sites.
- May administer oral, intravenous, intra-muscular, intra-dermal, subcutaneous, sub-lingual, vaginal, rectal, and topical medications.
- Prepares patients for routine physical examinations and assists the physician during examinations.
- An LPN can function in the role of Surgical Tech if the position is open in the operating room.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- HS Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of education requirements for NCLEX‑PN examination.
- No experience required.
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing OR a current multistate LPN License (eNLC) required.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, coordinate, plan, and evaluate nursing needs of assigned patients.
- Must be knowledgeable about operating room techniques if applying for a surgery position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
