We are seeking experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses (L&D RN) to provide high-quality nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns. The RN will work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, supporting patients before, during, and immediately after childbirth.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and protocols
- Implement, monitor, and update individualized patient care plans
- Monitor, record, and communicate maternal and fetal conditions
- Coordinate care with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Carry out physician and nursing orders accurately and timely
- Assist with vaginal and surgical deliveries
- Manage pain control, including epidural monitoring
- Support patient education and discharge planning
Labor & Delivery nurses provide critical care to mothers and newborns throughout the childbirth process. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, managing labor progression, assisting during delivery, and educating families on postpartum recovery and newborn care.
Work Environment- Requires critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to function effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced setting
- Adheres to Standard Precautions and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
