Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Neuro night position requiring an OK or compact license and at least 2 years of experience.

• Work in a 24-bed Med/Surg Neuro unit in a hospital environment
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Patient ratios are 1:5-6
• Must work some weekend shifts as part of schedule
• Floating within scope to similar units as needed
• No on-call requirement
• Block scheduling is determined on a case by case basis
• Uses Epic documentation system (Epic experience preferred)
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Must wear navy scrubs while on duty
• No travel pairs or groups will be considered
• RTO must be approved by management, with a maximum of 3 days auto-approved and no RTO allowed during the first week of orientation
• Brief unit orientation will be provided and required modules must be completed onsite during orientation

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Neuro experience
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
• Epic EMR experience is preferred
• Must not have been a permanent staff member within the past year
• Only candidates living more than 75 miles from the facility are eligible for consideration
