Job SummaryThe Provider Recruiter works collaboratively with the Director of Provider Recruitment in planning and developing strategic Physician & Advanced Practice Provider (APP) recruitment programs that ensure an adequate supply and distribution of providers in accordance with the strategic direction of the Warren Clinic leadership.
Minimum EducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Liberal Arts, Marketing or related field.
Licensure, Registration and/or CertificationCertified Provider Recruitment Professional from the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR), preferred.
Work ExperienceMinimum 1 year experience in Healthcare Recruitment, Marketing, Public Relations, Sales, or related field. Experience in Healthcare or working directly with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, that present clear and concise information. Strong professional acumen and sound ability to assess group dynamics, adapt communication styles, and influence outcomes effectively. Ability to interact with providers and a diverse audience throughout the health system.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Source provider candidates through advertising, databases, and networking with professional organizations, academic programs, hospital-based recruiters, and recruitment organizations to maximize results.
- Manage the selection, presentation, offer, negotiation, and closing components involved in making provider hires.
- Develop a recruitment plan for each practice opportunity and investigate all leads for potential provider candidates.
- Investigate, evaluate, and select resources for provider recruitment advertising.
- Develop and implement appropriate direct mail and telemarketing strategies for optimal results related to provider recruitment.
- Identify and attend selected professional meetings related to provider recruitment needs, including conferences, medical fairs, professional/medical meetings, and special events.
- Initiate recruitment efforts with medical schools and training programs by arranging tours, education, personal visits, telephone contacts, etc.
- Demonstrate diversity awareness and utilize sourcing techniques that reach diverse populations. Recruit APPs as well as physicians.
- Develop action plans for aging requisitions and keep management informed in a timely manner.
- Pre‑screen provider candidates to ensure their interests align with practice opportunity/area and that candidates meet the minimum requirements of the opportunity.
- Maintain follow‑up with provider candidates to sustain interest and troubleshoot potential problems.
- Conduct appropriate research activities and operate provider activities within the approved budget for each fiscal year.
Independent judgment in making decisions involving non‑routine problems under general supervision.
Working RelationshipsCoordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face‑to‑face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
Special Job DimensionsAbility to work evenings and weekends. Ability to travel for events in and out of the state of Oklahoma.
