Job Overview

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a Travel RN - Postpartum to provide compassionate and specialized care to mothers and newborns after childbirth. The ideal candidate will monitor the recovery of mothers, educate them on newborn care, and ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess postpartum mothers and newborns for any complications
• Provide pain management and postpartum recovery care
• Educate mothers on newborn feeding, diapering, and sleep patterns
• Assist with breastfeeding support and lactation consulting
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and postpartum interventions as needed
• Recognize and address signs of postpartum depression or complications
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, pediatricians, and lactation consultants
• Support skin-to-skin contact, bonding, and early parenting education
• Ensure proper documentation and patient education before discharge

Requirements:

• Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
• Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience
• BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Strong maternal and newborn care skills
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced hospital setting
