As the company continues to expand into new markets and scale its commercial efforts, we are making a deliberate investment in formalizing and elevating our marketing function to support the next phase of growth.

This role represents Outrider’s first senior marketing leadership hire and will play a critical role in shaping how the company is positioned, understood, and experienced in the market, building on an already successful and proven business.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Marketing to serve as Outrider’s first marketing leader. This is a foundational role for the company.

You will be responsible for defining our marketing strategy, clarifying our value proposition, and building a scalable demand generation engine that supports long‑term growth. You will work closely with company leadership and sales to translate business objectives into a clear market narrative and an effective go‑to‑market system.

This role is ideal for a senior marketing professional who thrives in early‑stage or growth environments and is comfortable building from zero. The ideal candidate is equally capable of strategic thinking and hands‑on execution within a fast‑paced collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Leadership

  • Own and define Outrider’s overall marketing strategy, aligned with business goals, sales priorities, and long‑term growth plans.
  • Clarify and articulate Outrider’s value proposition, positioning, and messaging for key customer segments.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, providing market insight, customer perspective, and data-informed recommendations.
  • Establish marketing priorities, success metrics, and a clear roadmap for execution.

Brand and Market Presence

  • Build and steward the Outrider brand across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency and credibility in a highly regulated, technical industry.
  • Oversee brand identity, messaging, and storytelling across the website, sales materials, presentations, content, and events.
  • Develop a content strategy that supports thought leadership, sales enablement, and demand generation, including case studies, white papers, blog content, and industry-facing materials.
  • Lead public relations and media outreach efforts to strengthen brand awareness and reputation.
  • Represent Outrider at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, including oversight of messaging, booth presence, and promotional strategy.

Demand Generation and Revenue Support

  • Design and own the demand generation strategy, including channel selection, campaign design, and funnel optimization.
  • Build and manage lead generation and lead nurturing programs that support the sales pipeline.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to align on ICPs, lead qualification, handoff processes, and feedback loops.
  • Implement and manage marketing automation and CRM systems to support scalable growth, attribution, and reporting.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform positioning, campaigns, and sales strategy.
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance metrics such as pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and ROI.

Execution, Vendors, and Budget

  • Personally execute core marketing initiatives in the near term while building systems that can scale over time.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors, including creative, web, and digital partners.
  • Own the marketing budget, ensuring disciplined investment and clear return on spend.
  • Lay the groundwork for future marketing hires as the company grows.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7 to 12 years of progressive marketing experience, including ownership of strategy and execution.
