Blaster – 1st Shift
Position Overview
We are seeking a Blaster for the 1st Shift to perform enclosed blasting operations using a variety of blasting media. Under direct supervision, this role involves cleaning and preparing surfaces for downstream processes by applying simple blasting techniques with precision and care. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, good math skills, and experience in a shop or blasting environment. Attention to detail, surface quality, and adherence to safety standards are essential.
Responsibilities- Perform enclosed blasting using aluminum oxide, glass bead, plastic media, and other materials.
- Validate cleanliness, part condition, and damage‑free surfaces after blasting.
- Prepare surfaces for subsequent finishing or fabrication processes.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area throughout the shift.
- Follow all company safety rules, PPE requirements, and operational procedures.
- 1–2 years of blasting or general shop experience.
- Strong mechanical skills and basic math abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain consistency in surface preparation.

Work EnvironmentThis role is located in a non‑climate‑controlled metal fabrication shop. Employees may be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, odors, and temperature fluctuations. Physical activity is required, including moving throughout the facility and lifting parts weighing between 5 lbs and 75 lbs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with two 10‑minute breaks and a 30‑minute lunch. Steel‑toed shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses are required and provided.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
