Welder / MIG/MAG/TIG, Manufacturing Production, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Southern Specialties' Welders work at our climate-controlled facility, where components for sheet metal products are produced. Welders will place and secure parts, fixtures and tools onto fixtures or holding table and weld steel, stainless steel or other exotic metals. Using the tools of the trade, our Welders are expected to use micrometers, calipers and other tools and gauges to read, interpret and act on requirements and specifications on blueprints for a variety of parts.
We need Welders with proven experience and success troubleshooting and resolving problems.
We are currently seeking 2nd shift welders - Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm to 2:00 am and 3rd shift welders - Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6 am to 6 pm. They will receive 11.5% shift premium on top of their regular pay.
Job Requirements- Own or be willing to purchase the minimum set of tools and equipment required for job performance and a locking toolbox.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- MIG on Carbon Steel & Stainless‑Steel experience required.
- TIG on Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, & Aluminum a plus.
- Fitter Welder experience a plus.
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and over time on an as‑needed basis, involving extra hours during the week, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays and Holidays.

- The extraction, compression, processing, manufacturing, handling, packaging, storage, disposal, treatment or transport of potentially volatile, flammable, combustible materials, elements, chemicals or any other highly regulated component.
Generally, 95% of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines and checking procedures. Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 50 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
