Processing Lead​/Dayshift​/Doe

Overview

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Processing Lead to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced metal processing department. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, along with hands-on experience operating and coordinating production on various fabrication machines. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn new equipment and processes while supporting team success.

• Oversee daily operations in the processing area to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
• Operate and assist with training on a variety of equipment including:
• – Plasma/Oxy Fuel CNC Plate Cutter
• – Laser Plate Cutter
• – Press Brake
• – Plate Rolls
• – Radial Drills
• – HEM Saw
• – HAAS Mill
• – Manual Lathe
• Safely operate an overhead crane and forklift
• Manage and organize steel inventory (plate, beam, bar, angle, etc.)
• Use Pronest or similar nesting software for job scheduling and material optimization
• Coordinate workflow and job scheduling to meet production deadlines
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment (laser, press brake, saws, mills, etc.)
• Knowledge of steel materials and inventory management
• Experience with Pronest or other nesting software preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production schedules
• Forklift and overhead crane experience required
• Willingness to learn and master all processing area equipment

• Starts at $26.00/hr while training on the laser
• Increases to $28.00/hr or higher upon promotion to Processing Lead
