Overview
Tooling Technician Trainee at Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company. This position is responsible for changeover and setup of tube mill roll tooling to support operations and equipment for continuous operation during the shift.
Responsibilities- Safety, quality, priorities above all
- Maintain clean, safe, organized work area, 5S
- Cross training of team members on mill set ups
- Ability to follow standardized set up charts
- Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
- High school or equivalent
- Experience in using measuring devices (calipers, tape measure, micrometers)
- Work well with others for support of equipment safety and operation
- Attention to detail
- Ability to retain information that is being taught and shown
- Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Good communication skills with coworkers to ensure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product
- Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions to support mill requirements
- Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities
