Tooling Technician Trainee

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for a Tooling Technician Trainee. This position will be responsible for the changeover and set up of tube mill roll tooling to support operations and equipment for continuous operation during the shift.

• Safety, quality, priorities above all
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area, 5S
• Cross Training of team members on mill set ups
• Ability to follow standardized set up charts
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor

• High school or equivalent
• Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure, micrometers.
• Work with well with other for support of equipment safety and operation.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to retain information that is being taught and shown.
• Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames
• Good Mechanical Aptitude Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill and material handler for proper tagging of product.
• Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions to support mill requirements.
• Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.
