Role Summary

We are seeking an energetic, professional leader to serve in a high‑visibility role with significant impact across our service footprint. This role is ideal for someone who is strategic, highly organized, and self‑driven, with a passion for strengthening relationships.

You will help shape Foundation grantmaking and build trusted partnerships with nonprofit leaders and internal stakeholders. You will also energize employee volunteerism through meaningful experiences and enrich retiree engagement.

The ideal candidate excels at managing multiple priorities, communicates with clarity and confidence, and brings the experience to evaluate opportunities and allocate our resources objectively. You will represent the company with professionalism, empathy and thoughtful stewardship while contributing to measurable philanthropic impact.

What You Will Do
  • To elevate the engagement and publicity of philanthropic efforts across ONE Gas. This includes managing the administration of ONE Gas Foundation and its assets in partnership with Treasury, employee/retiree matching grants and volunteerism efforts.
  • Supervise the administration of the ONE Gas Foundation, ensuring grant applications are accurate, recommendations are complete and approved grants are paid timely.
  • Manage the daily operation of the Foundation including program development, budgeting, human resources, legal, marketing, policies and procedures and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that meet business goals and objectives created in partnership with the board of Trustees, carrying out Philanthropic vision. This includes providing operational and impact reports.
  • Lead efforts and collaborate with a cross‑functional team to elevate the philanthropic efforts of the company (community relations, gov’t affairs, operations, commercial activities, public relations, inclusion & diversity and sustainability).
  • Coordinate the activities of the volunteer chairs and co‑chairs across the footprint.
  • Manage the annual company‑wide United Way fundraising campaign.
  • Oversee the management of the retiree chapters, including their giving, events, holiday gift and ongoing connection to the company.
  • Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders across the business, employees, retirees and with non‑profits.
  • Create a culture of transparency and communication throughout the organization.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
  • Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, communications, marketing, or other related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated ability for strong verbal and written communications, presentation and relationship development.
  • Experience leading a 501(c)(3) agency or charitable organization.
  • Thorough knowledge of best practices in management and governance of Foundation.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial strategies and finance‑related performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience in use and function of office equipment including microcomputers and applicable software, such as Cyber grants.
  • Read and write fluently in English.
  • Applicable driver's license. Requires travel to other company offices and field locations.
  • Mobility to travel in and around office and outdoor environments and to a variety of work sites.
  • Supervise the work of the Philanthropic Coordinator and help with their overall development.
  • Communicate and exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations.
  • Visual ability to perform job responsibilities.
