The One Stop Operator plays a critical role in supporting job seekers and businesses throughout the served communities. This position requires strong communication, tactical management, and the ability to develop and execute a new service delivery model that aligns with business demands across the region.
Primary ObjectivesOversee a team of Workforce Center staff to deliver a broad range of services and enroll targeted customers in all funding streams, initiatives, and programs. Key tasks include coordinating with board staff, workforce center oversight, outreach, community collaborations, referral processes, event hosting, initial assessments, universal population services, and pop‑up services. The role develops tactical strategies that improve efficiency and effectiveness while representing the local brand.
EssentialJob Functions
- Coach, lead, and develop Workforce Center teams to ensure operations meet funding source requirements.
- Implement and reinforce customer flow and service standards across partner organizations.
- Ensure effective triaging of customers and manage the referral process across programs.
- Oversee inbound and outbound phone system for the American Job Center and ensure proper routing for customer satisfaction.
- Support integration of Language Line Services to provide interpretation and translation for non‑English‑speaking customers.
- Manage facilities and safety, addressing cleanliness issues and repairs in a timely manner.
- Ensure adequate coverage of the AJC computer lab/resource room and train staff accordingly.
- Oversee partnership with the Wagner‑Peyser program and Universal Services.
- Manage all aspects of one‑stop daily operations to meet identified goals and objectives.
- Plan and facilitate weekly operations meetings to review performance and contract requirements.
- Promote events, trainings, and free resources with partner organizations and the public.
- Assist leadership in addressing administrative needs and supervise day‑to‑day operations of the Community Engagement Team.
- Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations for workforce development operations.
- Maintain positive relationships with the board, employers, community partners, and supportive service organizations to optimize customer satisfaction and community relations.
- Communicate project deliverables to board members, management, community partners, and the public.
- Oversee the referral process for the local AJC, managing real‑time referrals between programs.
- Employ extreme customer service behaviors in all interactions with internal and external customers.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Social Services, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a service industry, with at least 3 years in supervisory and operations management.
- Skills: Project management, organizational, personnel, problem‑solving, and data analysis. interpersonal, written, and oral communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
Salary: $48,000 – $52,000 per year
