Enhancement Manager

Enhancement Manager FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt

A person who is supervised by or is a licensed irrigator per local ordinances to service, modify and/or install irrigation systems.

• Professionally represents U.S. Lawns at all times.
• Responds properly to the client and follows up to ensure their needs have been met to their satisfaction.
• Keeps the Owner/Manager aware of all client concerns and communications on the job site.
• Maintains a positive, responsive, and flexible attitude toward all clients.
• Inspects the site and advises the client of potential liabilities.
• Effectively communicates in English and/or Spanish what is to be learned.

• Maintains and promotes safe working conditions in the field at all times.
• Wears and maintains required PPE as per local, state, federal, and OSHA laws.
• Ensures and maintains secure storage of all products and work areas as required by law.

• Maintains a clean, neat, and professional image of the service vehicle & equipment.

• Ensures all assigned equipment, tools, safety items, vehicles, trailers, or other items are maintained in proper working order by following proper maintenance and inventory schedules.
• Is accountable for neglect and abuse of assigned equipment.
• Maintains and secures equipment, including functionality, storage, and cleanliness; operates all specialty equipment used in the field under manufacturer’s and Owner’s directions.

• Maintains all jobs to bid specifications.
• Maintains client satisfaction (internal and external) to ensure jobs are renewed.
• Ensures that all disturbed areas for trenching or digging are repaired back to original site specifications.

• Monitors all irrigation controllers.
• Prevents loss of plant material due to poor controller monitoring.
• Knows the location of all water meters and backflow shut‑off devices for each job site and keeps the owner/manager aware of irrigation repairs needed.

• Tests, runs, and inspects each system and records notes on the Irrigation Service Request form.
• Sets controllers according to contractual obligations, always adhering to a water‑wise approach.
• Adjusts irrigation patterns, dates, times, and frequencies on timer clock/controller as necessary.
• Repairs breaks in the line, bad heads, nozzles, valves, wiring, etc., as needed.
• Records all work including hours spent, materials used, and recommendations for renovations.
• Locates existing backflows, controllers, zones, and valves and prepares zone charts/diagrams/legends for the systems.
• Works independently in the absence of supervision.
• Stays flexible to work with a variety of tasks daily.
• Remains on‑call to respond to emergency situations.

• Reads and writes English and follows written and oral instruction.
• Organizes and implements work schedule.
• Completes all required forms and follows outlined procedures, which may change from time to time.
• Stays current with industry products and equipment.
• Follows current local, state, and federal irrigation regulations and licensing.
• Maintains area for irrigation parts/supplies and ensures safety of fellow employees and self.
• Possesses a valid State driver’s license appropriate to the class and capability of the vehicle(s) assigned, with a driving record meeting company and State standards.
