Salary $50,000 - $65,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Legal Assistant to support a high-volume litigation practice handling complex civil defense matters.
Responsibilities- Provide litigation support for insurance defense matters from intake through trial and resolution
- Draft, format, proofread, and file pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
- Manage case files, calendaring, court filings, service of process, and litigation deadlines
- Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, trial preparation, and related logistics
- 3+ years of experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary in insurance defense litigation
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, e-filing requirements, and docket management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PDF tools, and legal case management systems
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines
