The Spring is adding an additional full‑time Guest Advocate to work 1pm‑11pm, Sunday thru Wednesday.
The Spring is a faith‑based service provider, shelter, and advocacy organization for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. We offer a safe home and supportive services that assist survivors and their children on their journey out of abuse.
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and service‑driven individual to join our team as a Guest Advocate for our 3pm through 11pm shift. As a Guest Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting residents of our Emergency Crisis Shelter by providing a safe, stable, and caring environment and helping guests connect with essential resources to move forward with their lives.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be available to meet the immediate needs of the guests and their children
- Gather information via telephone or face‑to‑face interviews from perspective guests
- Chart guests’ charts and record appropriate service codes
- Advocate for assigned case load and connect guests with on and off‑site resources
- Work with guests on goals to help them safely transition out of the shelter
- Complete discharges according to policy and procedures
- Assist with meal preparation as needed
- Answer telephones and front door as needed
- Transport guests in The Spring vehicles as needed
- Be available for emergencies and respond accordingly
- Provide reports and ongoing guest goal communication to the next shift
- Attend required training to meet domestic violence, sexual assault, and human sex trafficking standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year experience in social services preferred
- Must be able to sign The Spring's Statement of Faith
- Must have valid Oklahoma driver's license
- Ability to work an occasional weekend shift as needed
- Willing and able to develop relationships with guests and their children within professional boundaries
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards
- Able to successfully handle multiple demands and perform effectively despite changing priorities
- Willing and able to work both independently and as a team member
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail
- Maintain boundaries, both professional and personal
