JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for maintaining and supporting the Help Desk and new systems, which includes network installations, personal computers support and maintenance, and infrastructure development. Provides support for Telecommunications functions including PBX and all associated peripheral devices, routers and switches.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain Help Desk. Provide support to users in the resolution of software and hardware problems, including the development of training material and conducting user training.
- Provide support and management of telecommunications, network and security equipment, including PBX, routers and switches.
- Perform network administration, including the installation and configuration of new personal computers. Research new technologies and development tools and recommend their implementation.
- Security administration:
Create and/or modify user logins in the system, including the granting of permissions to view and modify data, and the modification or deletion of said permissions. Also responsible as one of the Provider Relations contacts for security requests. - Evaluate hardware and software alternatives available to users and recommend appropriate choices. Install and maintain electronic information processing equipment such as personal computers, backup units, memory upgrades, network cards and scanners.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking systems and concepts
- Proficient in Microsoft software.
- Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Good problem solving and organization skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to users in concise understandable terms.
- Must be able to maintain and preserve information of a highly confidential nature.
- Ability to work as a team member in high paced environment.
- Possess strong oral and written skills.
- Successful completion of Health Care Sanctions background check.
EDUCATION/
EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline.
- A+, N+ Certification.
- Minimum 5 years related systems experience.
