Traveling Optometrist

Overview

Traveling Optometrist role at Aria Care Partners. The position involves providing optometric care at nursing homes throughout Louisiana. Candidates must be willing to obtain licensure in Louisiana. All travel expenses are reimbursed. A relocation stipend is provided for Optometrists willing to move their home to Louisiana.

• Serve patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities around central and northern Louisiana; deliver clinical services and routine, acute, and chronic eye disease care.
• Treat all kinds of patients with kindness and discretion, from the disabled to the elderly.
• Ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and injuries.
• Conduct eye exams using mobile optometric equipment and perform general diagnostic interpretation.
• Diagnose and treat ocular disease; prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses.
• Recommend appropriate patient follow-up and care options; educate patients, family or responsible parties, and facility staff about vision and optical matters.
• Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions.
• Support in the development of the overall service.

• Must be willing to obtain licensure in Louisiana.
• Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Experience in optometry care; new graduates or seasoned professionals welcome.

• Production-based model with a minimum per-day rate guaranteed.
• Time and mileage rates for drives to/from facilities.
• Relocation stipend available; travel expenses reimbursed.
