• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/1/2025 – End: 12/31/2025)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Oklahoma or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent MICU/ICU nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (all required for MICU nurse jobs)
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Ability to float to similar critical care units as needed

MICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the Medical ICU
• Coordinate nursing care based on established clinical standards and best practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, Pharmacy, Social Services, etc.)
• Manage advanced ICU procedures: arterial line management, ventilator care, central/PICC line management, blood product administration, sedation, cardiac/vasoactive drips, and more
• Collect and analyze patient health data, identify clinical problems, and develop individualized care plans
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with Board of Nursing regulations
• Conduct discharge planning and provide patient/family education
• Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to infection prevention protocols
• Float to like units within scope as needed
