We are actively seeking a Consumer Recovery Specialist that will work as part of the treatment team by developing and maintaining a supportive relationship with consumers in order to address strengths, goals and barriers to recovery.
This includes monitoring recovery progress toward treatment goals, leading de‑escalation activities, participating in recovery, wellness and social skills groups, and developing and managing other group activities.
Responsibilities- Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with consumers
- Monitor and document recovery progress toward treatment goals
- Implement de‑escalation techniques as needed
- Facilitate recovery, wellness, and social skills group sessions
- Create and coordinate additional group activities to support recovery
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Special Requirements- Preference for those who have completed the DMHSAS-sponsored Consumer Recovery Specialist certificate program.
- Willingness and ability to travel for job‑related purposes and possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Conditional offer of employment requires a physical examination meeting lifting/carrying 50 lb and pushing/pulling 25 lb requirements.

The Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH) is a psychiatric hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, dedicated to delivering evidence‑based, patient‑centered care. TCBH provides a safe, structured and therapeutic environment that supports recovery and enhances quality of life for individuals and the community.
TCBH is being replaced by the new Oklahoma Psychiatric Care Center (OPCC) in the OSU Academic Medical District, featuring 106 inpatient beds and enhanced behavioral health services. Construction is currently underway.

Work ScheduleCoverage required 24 hours, 7 days per week. Work hours and location may vary; employees may be required to work weekends and overtime.
