Schedule:
Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm | Must be available to work one weekend a month
- Provides clinical patient care by administering appropriate treatment.
- Administers treatment plan appropriate for diagnosis.
- Coordinates with other disciplines for patient care.
- Carries patient load that reflects productivity standard.
- Progresses patient treatment as appropriate.
- Provides documentation by maintaining appropriate treatment records.
- Evaluates patient appropriately.
- Sets and meets functional goals within guidelines at discharge for each patient.
- Maintains treatment records to include re-evaluation, progress notes, discharge summaries, and education records in an appropriate time frame.
- Maintains daily recordkeeping.
- Provides expertise and instruction to patient, family, and students.
- Counsels patients/family through leisure educational activities.
- Assists with students and volunteers.
- Follows set guidelines for daily operations to assist with administration of department.
- Completes accurate daily patient charge sheet.
- Reports equipment and supplies needed or repaired.
- Schedules and prioritizes daily work assignments.
- Completes community reintegration activities with patients to promote improvement in physical, mental and social well-being of patients and families.
- Serves as Incident Commander for disaster situations and drills.
- Demonstrates effective implementation of emergency response plans as appropriate.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum Education:
Bachelor s Degree from an accredited Recreational Therapy program or a combination of education, training and work experience that the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification would accept as criteria to sit for the CTRS. - Licensure, Registration and/or Certification:
Current CTRS - Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and valid State of Oklahoma License to practice as Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (TRS-L). A valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Report that meets SFHS guidelines are required. - Work Experience:
0 - 6 months related experience. - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic computer skills. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability and approved to operate SFHS vehicles (including those with patients on board). Ability to train other staff in boarding and transportation techniques/methods for patients.
