Base pay range$74,000.00/yr - $82,000.00/yr
We have openings in our Tulsa office. The role of Mental Health Professional (Community based Children's Therapist) requires a master’s degree in mental health related discipline.
Must be licensed or licensed eligible in the State of Oklahoma, e.g. LPC, LMFT, LBP, LCSW, LMSW.
Using integrated models of assessment, intervention, and recovery, including screening for co-occurring disorders, this position will be responsible for providing assessments and clinical counseling behavioral health care services to adults. Responsible for incorporating the agency’s Sanctuary Model principles and tools into client care. Will also complete appropriate documentation of services to meet licensing, state, and agency standards.
Therapist Compensation Levels- Therapist I (under supervision): $74,000.00 / year
- Therapist II: $82,000.00 / year

The Community Based Therapist would explore and support the intersection of academic, personal, social, and familial pressures that students may be experiencing. Identifying factors that enhance and impede the child’s academic, social, and emotional functioning and helping create and identify effective coping strategies to implement, will help the child be more successful at school, at home, and in the community.

Skills And Abilities
- Support and promote a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is trauma-informed, recovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives.
- Educate family members and school administration on interventions they can do for the child and how to respond to certain behaviors.
- Work closely with the child to better understand the issues they are facing and try and establish underlying causes, then through a comprehensive and collaborative treatment plan, help create strategies with the child and caregivers to effectively manage the issues being faced with included input from teachers, school counselors, and other school administration as applicable.
- Ability to diagnose, intervene, and effectively refer persons in need of mental health services. Knowledge of and ability to apply Trauma‑Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF‑CBT) in practice.
- Have skills to de‑escalate clients who are agitated, anxious, angry, or in other vulnerable emotional states.
- Manage a crisis involving a client, including a threat of suicide or harm to others.
- Must possess good working knowledge of community social service resources, effective crisis management skills, behavioral health resources, ability to provide trauma‑informed care and a commitment to the Sanctuary Model components and philosophies.
- Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines with efficiency and consistency while maintaining a balance between good physical and mental health and the job requirements.
- Willingness to meet individuals and families in their environment, including homes, school/work, and community.
- Will provide assessment and behavioral health services to children, and their families, as needed and assigned to maintain minimum agency productivity requirement of at least 22.5 hours…
