Summary

We are looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team. Competent team player with basic healthcare skills to prepare examination rooms, assist with exams, maintain patient records, and manage provider schedules. Demonstrate technical, critical thinking skills necessary to complete the job. Provide patient care that is caring, effective, and evidence based.

Responsibilities
  • Keep provider on time with scheduled patients.
  • Give routine results to patients that are sent by the Provider.
  • Prep charts in advance: ensure all records are available, labs are complete, and appointments are necessary.
  • Perform Rapid/POC testing, specimen collection, and venipuncture as ordered.
  • Preceptor for new staff as needed.
  • Room patients, accurately obtain and record vital signs and medical history in EHR.
  • Assist providers with procedures and exams.
  • Check voicemails and return calls in a timely manner.
  • Display and maintain competency in administration of immunizations/injections.
  • Adhere to instrument sterilization processes.
  • Clean exam rooms between patient visits.
  • Actively participate in ensuring providers schedules run in a time-efficient manner.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited LPN program.
  • Current and valid Oklahoma LPN license.
  • 3+ years of medical office experience preferred.
  • BLS CPR Certification.
Working Conditions

Medical:
The employee is on feet most of the day. Intermittent physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, lifting, and supporting patients is essential. This position performs tasks that involve exposure to patients as well as blood, body fluids, or tissues. Incumbent will be exposed to virus, disease, and infection from patients and specimens in the working environment. Personal protective equipment use is required.
