Job Details:

• Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to process cross-sectional images for diagnostic purposes

• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to department policies and protocols

• Screen, prepare, and position patients for CT procedures with reference to diagnoses and body part

• Utilize advanced image manipulations including 3D rendering, reformation and reconstruction

• Evaluate CT studies for quality and completeness

• Send images to PACS system and verify exams in timely manner

• Maintain accurate documentation on logbook worksheet and charging of examinations

• Administer contrast media as directed by Radiologist

• Maintain radiation safety for patients, staff, and family members

• Provide patient care addressing physical and psychological needs

• Explain procedures clearly without causing unnecessary anxiety

• Work directly with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff

• Maintain clean and appropriately supplied work area

• Zero to six months of related experience required

• Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology Program required

• ARRT-R registration and BLS certification required

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required

• Customer service skills and Epic experience preferred
