• Utica Park Clinic, founded in 1982, is a multi‑specialty medical group with more than 300 employed physicians and advanced practice providers representing over 25 specialties across 80 plus clinics in Oklahoma.

The Medical Assistant provides superior patient care and performs administrative and delegated clinical tasks that support patients in a clinic‑based environment as part of a care team led by the physician and/or advanced practice provider.

• Enters, maintains, and reports all medical history, medical coding, and files claims using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Patient visit support that may include:
  Greeting patients, escorting patients to exam rooms, taking vital signs, and collecting applicable medical information to effectively support the reason for the visit and recommended treatment.
• Sterilizes and prepares medical instruments; ensures patient exam rooms are disinfected, orderly, and ready for incoming patients; provides patients with privacy, comfort, safety, and hygiene.
• Assists in maintaining inventory and stocking supplies, instruments, and equipment for all exam rooms.
• Maintains appropriate paperwork for inventory control and reviews orders received for completeness.
• Addresses and requests referrals and other insurance authorizations, and passes along patient information for prescriptions, x‑rays, or lab requisitions to necessary parties—including calls to pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Basic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Microsoft Office knowledge.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• Associate’s degree.
• Graduate from an accredited medical assistant/medical technologist school/program or three years of MA experience.
• Current national certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
