Overview
COPES Team Therapist/Counselor provides a range of accessible crisis services which divert individuals experiencing behavioral health crises from inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, jail and emergency rooms. Join our team as a Community Outreach Psychiatric Emergency Services (COPES) therapist where you will perform telephone and mobile crisis triage, assessment and stabilization in a supportive environment.
These roles typically involve little to no caseloads and focus on crisis intervention, triage and stabilization rather than long-term case management.
Responsibilities- Provide telephone crisis triage and mobile crisis response; travel with a team to crisis locations when field-based visits are warranted, with police presence if needed, to deescalate and stabilize individuals in crisis.
- Participate in extensive training before stepping into field work and receive ongoing training to ensure safety and effectiveness in a crisis environment.
- Operate in a fast-paced, crisis-centered environment with emphasis on safe, compassionate care and thorough documentation of events.
- Sign-on bonus: $10,000.00
- Salary: $82,000/year for licensed therapists/counselors; $72,000/year for therapists/counselors under supervision
- Plus, additional $5,000 Program Premium with shift differentials and weekend premiums
- Bilingual candidates are eligible for an additional $2,000 annual bilingual premium*

Family & Children’s Services works to heal hurting and abused children, strengthen families, and provide hope and a path to recovery for those battling mental illness and addiction. This role operates within the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) model, a team-based approach with whole-person care for adults and children with complex mental health and substance use challenges. Multi-disciplinary teams collaborate to provide coordinated care and enhance client recovery.
