Provides care to the residents as established in the management's policies and procedures provided by cna. The C.N.A must possess comprehensive knowledge of good residents care practices.

• Works with residents to maintain, improve and/or enhance each resident's quality of care and quality of life
• Provides, completes, and documents resident care as assigned in a timely and accurate manner.
• Attends and participates in facility in-service programs.
• Practices good infection control techniques in all aspects of resident care.
• Reports any change of condition to charge nurse.
• Responds timely to resident requests, including call light response.
• Observes residents rights including privacy, dignity, and others when providing care to residents.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, other staff members, and management.
• Assists residents for social functions and meals in a timely manner as assigned or as indicated on plan of care.
• Other duties as needed by residents.

Must have completed an approved training program and passed competency examinations for Certified Nurse Assistant.

This job requires good physical and mental health. Physical activities may include lifting up to fifty pounds, rotating and assisting residents who are partially or totally dependent.
