Overview
FLOAT POOL - Incentive Pay Rate. Unique float position with opportunity to work across all Saint Francis locations:
Outpatient, IP Rehab, and Acute Care. Experience in outpatient preferred.
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday with occasional weekend shifts. The person would have to be able to cover in Muskogee and/or Vinita when needed.
Responsibilities- Provides clinical patient care by initiating and administering appropriate treatment, progressing patient treatment as appropriate, and carrying patient load that reflects productivity standards.
- Evaluates patients accurately and plans appropriate treatment. Sets and meets functional goals. Revises and progresses treatment program as goals are met.
- Provides instruction (teaching) to patients and/or family members, as well as other healthcare providers.
- Maintains documentation: accurate treatment records, timely daily patient charges, and reflects time spent and procedures performed in patient charges.
- Maintains technical expertise through continuing education activities, departmental in-services, and keeping abreast of technical advances.
- Attends in-services and departmental meetings; contributes to patient/family education and home program documentation.
- Follows care path guidelines for patient/family education and documentation of home programs.
- Follows set guidelines for daily operations and assists (in-charge) therapist with daily responsibilities as appropriate.
- Schedules and prioritizes daily work assignments; delegates as appropriate to RPTA or other support personnel.
- Assists with P.T. observers, volunteers, and students as requested by (in-charge) therapist and with training of new P.T. employees.
- Minimum Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid State of Oklahoma Licensure or Temporary Letter of Authorization to practice Physical Therapy.
- Work Experience: 0 - 6 months related experience.
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients and families; ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; basic computer knowledge for data input and reporting; effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; and strong reasoning and adaptability.

- Attends 90% of scheduled in-services and departmental meetings; provides instruction to patients and/or family members and other healthcare providers.
- Follows care path guidelines for patient/family education and documentation of home programs.
- Follows set guidelines for daily operations and assists (in-charge) therapist with daily responsibilities as appropriate.
- Schedules and prioritizes daily work assignments; delegates, as appropriate, patients to RPTA or other support personnel.
- Assists with training of new PT employees and with P.T. observers, volunteers, and students as requested by (in-charge) therapist.
- Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise) and may lead others in same work performed (does not supervise).
- Has input on performance evaluations but does not prepare or give.
- Works directly with patients and/or customers; interacts with internal and external customers via phone or face-to-face communication; collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff.
